I’m deeply honoured to have been recognised with the Emerging Public Affairs Digital Communication Leader Award at the Nigeria Digital Public Relations Awards 2025 — an event celebrating innovation, creativity, and excellence in digital communication across Nigeria.
The recognition, presented by Upticomm Marketing Company in partnership with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter, acknowledges my work as Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, particularly in leveraging newsletters and social media platforms to engage Nigerians in national development.

The two-day summit also celebrated some of the most creative voices shaping Nigeria’s digital landscape, including Nene Bejide, Isaac Olayiwola (Layi Wasabi), Maryam Apaokagi (Taaooma), and Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi). Being recognised alongside such talented individuals is both humbling and inspiring.
In my remarks, I emphasised that this honour reflects the transformative power of strategic communication in shaping national discourse and driving development. It’s also a testament to the commitment of a passionate team working behind the scenes to tell authentic stories that inform, inspire, and influence progress.
I’m especially grateful to the Convener of the Awards, Segun Mcmedal, and the entire selection panel for their dedication to spotlighting excellence in our field. Congratulations to all the honourees for continuing to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in digital storytelling.

The Nigeria Digital PR Summit, where the awards were presented, remains sub-Saharan Africa’s premier platform for advancing the practice of digital public relations — bringing together industry leaders, influencers, government representatives, and communication professionals to explore the future of digital PR, Artificial Intelligence (AI), social media, and strategic engagement.
